Unexpected Merger?
In a shocking twist of events, Dark Sphere of Omega will be merging with Based On in the original universe. Dark Sphere is mostly known for fighting just about anything that breathes and starting over 30 wars will give up its war record in a merger with Based On. Based on has scheduled a combined fight against the pilgrims alliance starting the first of January.

Hired Guns, one week Later...
Hired guns released last Thursday now has over 5600 members, and holds promise to be the most fun of all the universes. However, this was not accomplished without bumps, numerous glitches, and poor designs.
SFC Hired Guns logo: Its plain, too plain, and too pixelized. I was expecting more color, but instead, its the ugly grey star.
Territories: Awesome idea, and even more awesome execution. This territories are very balanced and requires skill to hold and use. Maybe the best improvement in the game. Quantity of territory means competition. Good job BFG!
Eradeon: Had quite a hiccup this weekend. Eradeon was not being subtracted properly, and many early upgrades cost next to nothing. However, this has been fixed, and is pretty fun and tactical!
NPCs: Reminds me of SFCO. Very balanced and fair. Not the huge source of income as conquest.
Newb Protection: Love it! Gives some time to get on an equal playing field.
Espionage Report: Huge bug, still not fixed does not support attacking, harvesting, or further espionage through the espionage report. The worst of the bugs.
Ships: Interesting, although the stats are unknown unless you have an active Alien Space dock. Needs to be fixed to see stats regardless of location.
Universe change tab: Missing sadly. I want this back, it helps alot when playing on a mobile device.
Galaxy Screen: Far too hard to distinguish a territory from a player. Slight color change, but not sufficient enough.

Starfleet Commander: Hired Guns
Blue frog gaming is in the midst of announcing what will be expected for the next universe. The universe is rumored to come out the first week of December, but with no confirmed date as of yet. Most of the developments and released information are showing signs of hope, but with infinite questions, what can we truly expect in this next Starfleet universe?
1. Vacation mode: Its back in play and with no limitations. A player can use it as many times, for up to 35 days without logging in at a time.
2. No moons. This is one of the major features released by Blue Frog this week. No oracles, no warp gates, and no lunar docks. This raises questions though. Will any buildings replace any of the lunar buildings we come to know? The only confirmed building that will not be replaced is the Oracle. But will Blue Frog have an alternative to landing your heph?
3. Conquest speeds. About 3x that of the Original Universe. The important question is here, what will be the newbie protection?
4. Territories will be in place. Blue frog hasn't released much on these territories except for some possible names from Art Director Wendy Feden. Its anyone's guess what these territories will really produce, and how they will work.
5. Six new ships. Again, little is known about these ships, and its anyone's guess what they will do.
This universe will surely be interesting when it is released. Players can look forward to a release date announced this week says Matt H. Hopefully some more details about the game will be released as the days go on.

BFG is moving!
Blue Frog is moving their central headquarters as their lease on their current property is soon to expire. According to Matt, this new location located in Downtown Akron Ohio is currently under renovations in order to meet the specific needs of BFG and its employees. Downtime from this move is not expected, as the servers are owned and maintained by a third party. Also, as of now, no hardware upgrades are expected, and BFG will be using the same computers and equipment to run and create the game.

Meet Rayman of Aurelian Justice.
Recently, Rayman has become a superstar and player favorite on the forum for his in depth reports of Justice's wars. Everyone who reads them become instantly fascinated by his reports, even if they directly am not involved. Since then, many alliances have attempted to recruit him, because his love for the game, blood thirst, and devotion to his team. But why make these reports viewable to just anyone? I sat down with Rayman for an interview, and the first interview since our return.
" I’ve been a military history buff for most of my life and loved reading about battles of the past. I’ve always fascinated about what forces were involved, what each side lost, and so on. Henceforth I set out to recreate these from my past in a format people would enjoy. I also include those unsuccessful / recalled attacks as it adds to the emersion factor." Says Rayman. Rayman began reporting daily activities on his wars just about a month ago. Since then, he began to report on all of Justice's war activities. Rayman promises to continue his reports, "I’ll continue to document any and all wars that I’m involved with. I’m always open to suggestions for improvement. If anybody has any ideas they’d like to see just let me know"
Fans of Rayman have supported him alot through his posts, and have since tried to recruit or hire him for their own wars. Rayman takes his popularity with happiness, saying, I’m glad that everyone likes the reports as much as I enjoy writing them. Its nice to know that people enjoy what I’m writing...Everyone has been fantastic about sending me their reports when I ask."
If you haven't had a chance to read some reports of Rayman's activities, try reading Rayman's own favorite war, Justice Vs Based on. You can find that here: http://forum.playstarfleet.com/index.php?topic=20064.0

This room, called the SFCO R-rated Chat Room, is where players can say anything and do anything they want, as long as they are not deliberately trolling. If you wish to join this chat room, feel free to message me on skype, and i will add you to the room.
